Why 68%

When to Choose This Grade

68% alumina is generally positioned as an economy grinding-ball grade. It can be relevant when bulk grinding cost matters more than achieving the density and wear performance of higher-alumina media.

Choose 68% when: the duty is ceramic body or general mineral milling, the mill accepts larger balls, and the process can tolerate the supplier-confirmed wear and chemistry.

Consider a different grade when: longer media life, higher density, smaller media, color control or tighter contamination limits matter (→ compare 75%, 92% or an actual 95% specification).

Applications for 68% Alumina

Where This Grade Works Best

Ceramic Body Preparation

Ball milling of clay, feldspar, quartz and related raw materials for ceramic body preparation where an economy media grade is acceptable.

Tile Raw Materials

Commonly referenced for conventional ceramic tile body grinding. Confirm required cycle time, ball charge and acceptable wear against the mill conditions.

Non-Metallic Minerals

General milling of feldspar, quartz, kaolin and other non-metallic minerals where the delivered chemistry and wear level fit the finished product.

Pebble-Replacement Trials

A candidate for users evaluating a manufactured ceramic ball in place of natural pebbles. Test charge, power draw, wear and product quality before full conversion.

Sizes, Use & Packing

Grinding Balls

Public product ranges commonly cover Ø 20 – 70 mm. Confirm exact diameters and tolerances in the quote.

Ball-Mill Duty

Share the mill type, feed material, target fineness and current media so the proposed grade and charge can be checked.

Export Packing

25 kg bags are common. Palletized or bulk packing, net weight and container loading are confirmed per offer.
